These initiatives are designed to support postgraduates at all stages of their research. Postgraduate activities include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Annual Postgraduate Conference<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each year the Society hosts its Annual Postgraduate Conference (alternating between in-person and online conferences), which brings together postgraduate researchers from across disciplines working on the Caribbean and its diasporas. The two-day conference showcases new and emerging research on the Hispanic, Francophone, Dutch, and Anglophone Caribbean. These workshops are run throughout the academic year and provide a supportive and collegial space for postgraduate researchers to share work in progress and connect with peers across the Caribbean Studies community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each one-hour session features:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A 10-minute presentation of work-in-progress (not a formal conference paper).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Discussion and feedback facilitated by questions\/activities prepared by the presenter.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Postgraduate Writing Group<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Postgraduate Writing Group is open to postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers seeking dedicated writing time in a supportive collective setting. The group welcomes work on dissertation chapters, journal articles, conference papers, grant applications, and other projects.
