Papers from all disciplines of Caribbean Studies are welcomed. While\u00a0there is no particular theme for the conference, we are conscious that\u00a0Preston is very near Nelson where CLR James spent a considerable time\u00a0and that 2019 is the 40th anniversary of the Grenadian Revolution.\u00a0Contributions on either of these themes would be particularly welcome but proposals can address any theme or topic focused on the Caribbean extended region. As we are based at IBAR, papers addressing relationships among the Caribbean, Northern Britain, and the Black Atlantic, would also be welcomed. We also welcome proposals for complete panels, which should consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 presenters. Those selected for the conference will be invited to give a 20-minute presentation. Abstracts should be submitted along with a short bio of no more than 150 words by 15th of January 2019. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered.<br \/>\nResearchers at all career stages, including postgraduates and early career scholars are welcome and we shall be organising a session where experienced researchers will advise on the best way for new academics to get their work published. La conf\u00e9rence est ouverte \u00e0 toutes les disciplines des \u00e9tudes carib\u00e9ennes, et aux contributions dont les th\u00e9matiques de recherche abordent l\u2019espace carib\u00e9en et ses diasporas, tant dans les zones anglophones qu\u2019hispaniques, hollandaises et fran\u00e7aises.\u00a0Bien qu\u2019il n\u2019y ait pas de th\u00e8me particulier pour la conf\u00e9rence, nous sommes conscients que Preston est tr\u00e8s proche de Nelson o\u00f9 CLR James a pass\u00e9 un temps consid\u00e9rable et que 2019 marque \u00e9galement le 40e anniversaire de la r\u00e9volution grenadienne.\u00a0Des contributions sur l&#8217;un ou l&#8217;autre de ces th\u00e8mes seraient particuli\u00e8rement bienvenues, mais les propositions peuvent traiter de tout sujet ax\u00e9 sur la r\u00e9gion \u00e9largie des Cara\u00efbes.
